Ergonomic Chair Powerton SIMA The ergonomic chair Powerton SIMA has been designed to best meet the user’s needs and minimize the negative effects of sedentary work on human health. Among the benefits of ergonomic sitting are increased productivity and work efficiency, as the user can focus on their tasks instead of pain and discomfort. The chair is suitable not only for office environments but also for home offices and for anyone who spends hours sitting. The chair’s construction uses high-quality materials ensuring long life and durability. It features a padded seat and backrest, as well as adjustable armrests that help maintain the arms in an ergonomic position and reduce tension in the shoulders and cervical spine.
Synchro Mechanism
The synchro mechanism allows synchronization of the seat and backrest movement so that both parts move simultaneously in a ratio of 2:1. This means that when the seat moves forward by one centimeter, the backrest moves back by two centimeters. This synchronized motion is adjustable and allows comfortable and ergonomic sitting. You can lock it in four positions. Thanks to the smooth change of seat and backrest angles, it eliminates injuries caused by repetitive small movements when working with a computer – RSI (Repetition Strain Injury). It also prevents permanent static muscle tension through frequent posture changes, promoting active sitting during computer work.
Counterbalance Adjustment According to Body Weight
The base includes an adjustable mechanism that allows you to set the counterbalance strength according to your body weight. To adjust it, turn the right lever under the seat clockwise to increase stiffness or counterclockwise to reduce it. If the user weighs less than average, the counterbalance strength should be reduced for easier movement. Conversely, a heavier user should increase it to maintain correct body posture. It’s important to set the counterbalance correctly for optimal ergonomics.
Seat Depth Adjustment
A properly adjusted seat depth allows you to sit with your feet flat on the floor, ensuring proper spinal alignment and blood circulation in the legs. If the seat is too short, there will be insufficient support for the thighs, which may lead to back pain. On the other hand, if it’s too long, body weight distribution becomes unbalanced, causing discomfort or pain in the lower back and hips. Therefore, seat depth adjustment is essential for optimal ergonomics and comfort, especially for people of different body sizes.
Backrest Height Adjustment – UP-DOWN System
The ergonomically shaped backrest with pronounced lumbar support is height-adjustable using the up-down system. It’s crucial to find the right height that supports correct posture and minimizes spinal and neck tension. The up-down system works by lifting the entire backrest upward, automatically unlocking at the top position and locking at the bottom. By moving it vertically, you can position the lumbar support perfectly for any body height.
Seat Height Adjustment
Adjusting the seat height is essential for correct ergonomics and comfortable sitting. It helps minimize tension in the lower back and legs, improving comfort and productivity. The correct seat height allows your feet to rest flat on the floor with knees at a 90° angle. Height adjustment within 8 cm is enabled by a gas lift mechanism, and the height can be locked in any position.
Adjustable 3D Armrests
Adjustable armrests support the arms and enhance comfort. They can be adjusted in three directions – height, depth, and angle. Height adjustment ensures proper arm and shoulder positioning. Depth adjustment allows the armrests to be set closer or farther from the backrest, supporting correct posture. The angle adjustment minimizes wrist and elbow pressure, ensuring ergonomic comfort.
