High Durability and Rough Surface
PLA is always the most popular filament among FDM technology users due to its exceptionally easy printing. The drawback of conventional PLA-based filaments is their relatively low thermal resistance, often reaching only 50–60 "C for non-crystallized prints, which significantly limits their practical use.
As a result of several months of testing and implementation, a new filament Spectrum GreenyHT was developed based on a high-performance biopolymer with a softening temperature up to 100 "C and thermal resistance up to 90 "C. In addition to improved thermal properties, they aimed to retain the original mechanical properties of the plastic, so Spectrum GreenyHT contains no plasticizers. Furthermore, in terms of stiffness and hardness, it significantly outperforms classic PLA grades.
Despite the modifications, Spectrum GreenyHT remains fully biodegradable and compostable under industrial conditions as defined by the EN 13432 standard. Its bio-base comes from GMO-free sources. The material also meets the conditions for food contact.
Additionally, Spectrum GreenyHT filament is visually characterized by a rough surface. The surface irregularity and matte appearance effectively mask the layers and significantly enhance the aesthetic value of printed models.
