Improved Hardness and Stiffness
PLA Carbon is a modified PLA-based filament mixed with carbon fibers, which contribute to significantly higher stiffness, hardness, and tensile strength while maintaining low shrinkage and very good adhesion to build plates typical of pure PLA.
A 20% addition of carbon fibers allows you to achieve matte surfaces on printed objects, which significantly enhances the aesthetic properties of printed items.
Key Features:
- better hardness and stiffness compared to pure PLA
- higher softening temperature
- improved abrasion resistance
- much higher compressive strength
- good mechanical properties
- high aesthetic, matte surface quality
- no shrinkage after cooling
Applications:
- objects that must be very stiff and hard while maintaining dimensional accuracy
- production of parts exposed to static compressive loads
- concept and demo prototyping of designed semi-finished products
- decorative parts (aesthetic properties)
- external structural elements that emphasize the product
- prototyping
Specifications:
- filament diameter: 1.75 mm
- density: 1.24 g/cm³
- extrusion temperature: 185-215 "C
- bed temperature: 0-45 "C
- print speed: 40-110 mm/s
