PLA MATTE is a material with a chemically modified composition designed to produce a matte surface finish on printed items. The modifications to the filament´s formulation have improved its mechanical strength properties, such as impact resistance, flexibility, and durability compared to objects made from standard PLA. Additionally, the use of additives has not only enhanced impact resistance and reduced the brittleness of printed objects but also enabled higher thermal resistance (about 75"C).

With these enhanced features, PLA MATTE applications are primarily focused on showcasing key aesthetic values — that is, industrial design prototyping for concept visualization and demonstrating design variants. It is also used in interior design applications and architectural models.
