Support Material for ABS
HIPS-X is a consumable support material designed for additive manufacturing in FDM / FFF technology.
It is usually used as support for parts made from ABS, where HIPS-X carriers dissolve after the manufacturing process in a citric acid solution (D-Limonene).
Furthermore, HIPS-X can be used as a base material for producing components that require reduced shrinkage compared to ABS during processing.
Key Features:
- improved aesthetic quality with matte surfaces on printed items
- lower shrinkage than classic ABS
- possibility of mechanical processing (drilling, turning, milling or grinding)
- high impact resistance
- ability to absorb and dissipate energy
- suitable for large prints
- fully soluble in D-limonene
Applications:
- support material for ABS
- industrial applications requiring impact-resistant parts or parts capable of partial energy dissipation
- concept and demo prototyping of designed finished products and semi-finished goods
Filament Specifications:
- filament diameter: 1.75 mm
- density: 1.05 g/cm³
- extrusion temperature: 230-255 "C
- bed temperature: 100 "C
- print speed: 40-100 mm/s
