PETG with Tribological Properties The popularization of 3D technology and increasing specific expectations regarding print functionality bring the need to develop increasingly specialized materials. Based on market analysis and repeated customer requests, we decided to expand our range with PETG material with tribological properties. We present Spectrum PETG/PTFE copolymer for use in sliding parts and transmissions. The base material is PETG, known for its excellent mechanical properties, supplemented with 10% PTFE, commonly known as Teflon, with self-lubricating properties. Thanks to the careful selection of components while reducing the coefficient of friction, the filament retains ease of printing, layer adhesion, impact toughness, and thermal properties typical of PETG.
Spectrum PETG/PTFE is suitable for printed parts exposed to increased friction wear and operating temperatures up to 70 "C. The filament is available in a wide range of colors.
Key Properties: 10% PTFE content, reduced coefficient of friction compared to conventional PETG, heat resistance up to 70 "C, ease of printing, good chemical resistance, perfect layer bonding.
Applications: functional prototypes, production of low-friction parts, manufacturing of low-load gears and transmission components, end-use parts.
Filament Specifications: filament diameter: 1.75 mm / 2.85 mm, extrusion temperature: 230–255 "C, bed temperature: 60–80 "C, print speed: 30–70 mm/s.
