Remarkable product enriched with carbon fibers
PCTG is a copolyester that is gaining increasing popularity among users of 3D printing technology. In terms of properties, it is often compared to the well-known PETG. However, it should be noted that PCTG has significantly higher impact strength compared to its big brother. The high elasticity of PCTG, combined with strong layer adhesion, high viscosity, and negligible shrinkage, makes it a perfect polymer for composite materials. The carbon fibers used give the filament extremely high stiffness while reducing the brittle fracture typical of other PETG-based carbon composites. The PCTG CF10 filament enables the printing of parts with increased hardness and tensile strength compared to standard PCTG. The use of carbon fibers increases the heat resistance of the filament, further reduces shrinkage, and gives printed models a characteristic “carbon” matte finish.
With the Spectrum PCTG CF filament, 3D printing becomes an even more viable alternative to conventional plastic processing, allowing the production of durable and long-lasting everyday items regardless of size.
